Teana S. Overton
Associate Attorney

Teana S. Overton, Esq. is an Atlanta Native. She is a first-generation college graduate and more recently, a first-generation law school graduate. Teana earned a dual bachelor’s degree from Longwood and her Juris Doctorate from Atlanta’s John Marshall Law School.

During her law school tenure, Teana served as the Student Bar Association President, BLSA Vice President, Academic Peer Advisor, Director of the Peer Mentor Program, and Representative for the Georgia Bar Chief Justice Commission on Professionalism. She was also the recipient of the GAWL Outstanding Law Student Award based on academic accomplishments as well as the Chief Justice Leah Ward Sears Pro Bono Award which is given to the student whose pro bono service has the greatest impact.

Prior to joining the Nick Schnyder Law Firm, Teana worked as an associate at a boutique personal injury firm in Metro Atlanta where she served injured persons in automobile collisions, wrongful death, premise liability, slip and falls, and medical malpractice.

Teana’s proudest accomplishment is motherhood. Teana successfully passed the Georgia bar exam while pregnant and she gave birth to her daughter, Shiloh, just weeks after becoming an attorney.

As her record shows, Teana is a hardworking advocate for underserved and underrepresented communities. She is passionate about improving the lives of her clients by taking a client-centered approach to every case. Most importantly, Teana looks forward to helping you.
